Who We Are
Summer’s mission is to help the 45 million Americans burdened by student debt save money through smart, algorithm-based recommendations. Summer combines policy expertise and innovative technology to serve student loan borrowers across the country. Our founding team draws on years of experience in public policy, law, consumer finance, and engineering to tackle one of the greatest challenges of our generation.
We’re registered as a public benefit corporation as part of our commitment to helping all borrowers improve their financial health through better repayment strategies. We recently raised our Series A and are backed by a team of world-class investors, including General Catalyst, NextView, Greycroft, Foundation Capital, Story Ventures, and QED Investors.
We're looking for an intern who can work at least part-time through spring and/or summer and can contribute a minimum of eight weeks of full-time work.
- Strategic Planning: Provide research and analytical thinking to help Summer identify new verticals for their B2B sales efforts. Identify potential groupings of partners and help build business cases to determine potential user and revenue growth opportunities.
- Sales Outreach: Develop outreach strategies and messaging to target new verticals. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create messaging for sales outreach. Schedule meetings with key stakeholders at potential partners and build sales pipeline.
- Business Reporting: Collaborate cross-team to support research and analysis that measures the individual success of each partnership. Identify new ways to report growth for a range of partners and for individual borrowers. Must love making sense of data!
We are seeking teammates who are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or graduate school program. Experience working in a B2B business, finance, or financial tech is a plus. This position will report to the Head of Business Development and work closely with the full partnerships team.
