As an engineer working on Sustainability you’ll help Vimeo achieve its sustainability goals through green initiatives. 

During your internship, you will work with us to define and work on a project that’s best suited for your interest, experience and desired area of growth, as well as Vimeo’s mission. The project might vary depending on what data is available and what’s accomplishable during the length of the internship. 

What you’ll do:

• Research and promote software engineering sustainability best practices to help make Vimeo more sustainable.
• Read technical papers and deliver reports on sustainability in tech.
• Help create tooling around our sustainability reports.

Skills and knowledge you should possess:

• You are passionate about making the tech industry more sustainable.
• You are familiar with a scripting language (e.g. Python).
• You are currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline, with an expected graduation date of 2022 or 2023.

Bonus points (nice skills to have, but not needed):

• You are familiar with front-end development (HTML/JS/CSS)
• You are familiar with cloud computing (GCP, AWS, etc.)
