Cadre is looking for a thoughtful, creative, and audience-centric professional to build and own our internal communications strategy and plan. Our goal is to build connectivity across our community – between our leaders, the business, and our mission – keeping our employee experience at the heart of the work. While this role sits within our People Team, this individual will partner across the business to understand the needs of employees and build out communication strategies that will engage our diverse employee population and keep employees informed. Our ideal candidate has proven experience leveraging data to identify the best channels and target messaging that will elevate our culture, amplify our values, and build a sense of community. Experience with change management, leadership communications, employer brand, and culture and DEI is highly valued. This is a critical role that will report directly into the VP of People and Talent, and will be an invaluable resource to our entire executive team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work closely with Cadre leaders to support both functional and organization-wide communications
  • Build and manage the internal communications strategy and plan and collaborate cross functionally to establish transparency and connectivity
  • Manage and evolve all of our internal communications channels, including emails, Slack, All Hands, AMAs and Town Halls
  • Produce content that amplifies employee stories and experiences and anchors to our values
  • Manage Puck, our intranet platform
  • Deploy culture-shaping initiatives and project manage the Cadre Culture Committee
  • Support Cadre leadership, the people team and ERGs on the strategy and execution of all internal communications and change management initiatives
  • Work closely with ERGs to identify potential DEI initiatives
  • Build out our employer brand collateral and partner with our marketing team to share that message
  • Measure and assess the effectiveness of communications and adapt accordingly
  • Interpret employee engagement survey data and participate in efforts to maximize strengths and improve weaknesses

What You Have

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years experience working in Internal Communications
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills
  • Multimedia skills; you can think beyond writing/emails and are comfortable using visuals, videos and other tools to bring a message to life
  • Strong analytical skills, the ability to analyze data and identify meaningful conclusions which will inform communication strategies
  • Someone who moves fast; you can work on tight deadlines at hyper-growth speed
  • Excellent facilitation and communications skills as well as exceptional collaboration and influence skills across all levels of an organization
  • Experience in change management and crisis response is preferred
  • Resilient and able to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment with a high level of autonomy 
  • Must be able to navigate through ambiguity and constant change

Collaborative! Many of our teams operate cross functionally, which is why we opted for an open floor plan. With no private offices, we were able to allot a healthy amount of perimeter space to meeting & call rooms. We're working on integrating more quantitative techniques into our investment process. Machine Learning has had a transformative effect on a number of industries & CRE is undergoing a similar transformation. How Cadre uses data in our investment process allows us to create more thoughtful strategies & be better fiduciaries to our investors.
