ABOUT THE ROLE
As an intern on the IT team at VTS, you will be assisting in systems administration projects over the summer of 2019. You will be working on a variety of tasks that include, but are not limited to, providing support to all end users at VTS, documentation around best practices for the team and the end users and helping manage and audit inventory of our equipment.
The VTS Summer Intern Program is from June 3rd through August 9th, 40 hours a week with a competitive compensation rate. You will be working out of our VTS Headquarters in Bryant Park. The program consists of hands-on learning, opportunities to create work with teams that are revolutionizing an industry, and the chance to have some fun throughout the summer!
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Respond to all end user support issues in a timely and professional manner
- Configure hardware for new hires both local and remote
- Provide documentation for both the IT team and end users
- Troubleshoot a variety of issues involving PCs, Macs, Telephones, AV equipment and
- more
- Manage and audit inventory of equipment and peripherals
ABOUT YOU
- Rising senior or 2019 graduate studying information technology, information systems, IT security or similar program
- Strong attention to detail with ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple
- tasks in a timely manner
- Strong Hardware and software troubleshooting skills a must
- Creative thinking and excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-focused, service-oriented and positive team-aligned attitude
- Effective listening skills, ability to follow the direction of IT management and senior
- IT team members
- Ability to thrive in high demand, high pressure situations
- You have experience with: basic project management, SaaS management, Google Apps administration and endpoint security e.g. malware and AntiVirus management
