About the team & Opportunity:
The Legal and Compliance function at Quartet is responsible for managing all contracts with external parties and ensuring that the company operates in a compliant manner, by creating policies consistent with regulations impacting the healthcare space that Quartet operates within. Our department is charged with staying current with regulations as well as the policy landscape in order to be able to educate and advise the company within the areas it operates now and as it grows. We must be versatile, creative, and able to effectively assess and communicate risks and collaborate with the business to navigate those risks, all while operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
The intern’s job this summer will be to support the General Counsel and the Healthcare Compliance & Security Specialist in the overall operations of the Legal/Compliance Function, including special projects, assessments and assisting with daily operations.
- Assist in selection and implementation of a contract management software
- Manage and organize contracts in preparation of implementing new contract management software support and lead the integration of contracts into the new system
- Create intake form to be used by internal stakeholders seeking legal advice
- Review contracts to be used as templates for the purpose of revising and updating
- Partner with Business Development and Inside Sales on how to leverage legal team
- Highly effective written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, work under tight time pressures and prioritize
- Ability to work effectively with others at all levels across the organization
- High level of integrity and trust, and ability to maintain confidentiality
