At Teachable, we’re on a mission to help professionals monetize their knowledge. We are committed to building thoughtful tools and resources that make it simple, profitable, and rewarding for entrepreneurs, creators, and business owners to start or scale a business through online courses and coaching products.

Teachable is hiring a Lifecycle Marketing Intern for the 2022 Spring semester (end of January through end of May) to help support large-scale marketing campaigns and experimentation that will convert leads into customers, help customers achieve success on our platform, and continuously test new strategies to improve key marketing metrics. Your primary responsibilities will include campaign logistics, task and timeline execution and management, research, and quality assurance. You’ll work alongside teams to create, test, and analyze email, website, and multi-channel campaigns and experiments to address the needs of prospects and customers at all stages of their lifecycle with Teachable.

You’ll be part of the marketing team, a fast-paced, highly cross-functional team that is constantly testing and innovating to tell the best possible story to our customers. Your work will support marketing campaigns and sitewide experimentation from ideation and scoping through execution, and post-campaign analysis. This role reports to the Lifecycle Marketing Campaign Manager.

This is an exciting position at Teachable, and a pivotal time in our company's growth. Teachable is growing, and our marketing team is hard at work trying exciting new strategies and projects to keep up with our customers' needs. Our ideal candidate is a quick learner with an interest in developing their skills in lifecycle marketing, email marketing, project management, or marketing experimentation.

Sample Responsibilites

  • Work alongside the Lifecycle marketing team to create campaign strategy docs and timelines.
  • Research trends and best practices within email marketing, A/B testing, and conversion-driven copywriting.
  • Assist in managing campaign timelines and creating project tasks in Asana (project management tool that you will gain experience in) for the marketing team.
  • Coordinate campaign activities across team members; track deliverables; communicate project progress & status across stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with Lifecycle team members as well as copywriters, designers, and data analysts—just to name a few—and our big goal is driving leads to purchase paid Teachable subscriptions.
  • Review and QA assets like emails, banners, pop ups, landing pages, webinars, and more. You’ll do proofreading, on-page UX testing, link checks, and follow up with team members to ensure bugs are fixed.
  • Recommend process improvement using data and feedback from existing and previous projects.

About You

  • You’re an undergraduate or graduate student in marketing, business, or communications.
  • You believe teamwork and collaboration are important to accomplish business goals; you enjoy valuing and celebrating the contributions of project team members.
  • You believe in a growth mindset, effectively seeking diverse learning and experience and proactively implementing feedback for continued personal and professional growth.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You’re a self-starter. You think ahead about what needs to be done, and you don’t wait to be nudged to take action. You take the initiative to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • You want to learn about digital marketing, email marketing, and marketing campaigns.
  • You have a positive approach to challenges. You enjoy being strategic and solving problems, and you have a can-do “roll up your sleeves” attitude.
  • You’re looking for an internship where you’ll do more than observe, you’ll actually make an impact and walk away with tangible experiences you can leverage for your future career.
  • You want to work for a cutting-edge, mission-driven organization that enables independent business owners to build and grow their own small and mid-size companies.

An Insider's view of Teachable

What are some social events your company does?

Teachable has company-wide events that are creator based throughout the year! Once I attended an event where we were able to receive a natal birth chart reading. As an astrology enthusiast, this was very memorable for me because I got to understand more about my inner self/personality and even suggested the creator's business to one of my friends!

How does the company support your career growth?

I've had great support from my managers, who have talked with me about my areas of interest, helped me identify strengths and weaknesses, and have suggested resources for professional development. And it's exciting to see that as the company has grown over the years that I've been here, new roles, positions, and pathways continue to be created.

I’m most excited about our projects to help creators save time, get more students, and build communities to nurture.
