As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for helping to create prototypes to aide in development and test of our products. The engineering team works in a fast-paced and highly-challenging environment, which means that as an intern at Latch, you’ll be given real projects that greatly impact the future of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Design of mechanical test fixtures
- Rapid prototyping of specialized mechanisms
- Part measurement, comparison, and analysis
- Automation fixture design and development
- Testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems
- Technical documentation
Basic Requirements:
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or robotics
- Proficient with Solidworks or other CAD software
- Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
- Posses strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Passion for creating prototypes
Preferred Requirement:
- Experience with electrical engineering lab or Arduino is a huge plus
- Comfortable in interdisciplinary projects
- Hands on project experience
