We’re looking for engineers to join the Perception team in New York City, Seattle or Los Angeles to help make Snapchat the smartest camera in the world. Working at the intersection of product engineering and applied machine learning, we’re an ambitious team striving to bring the camera to life through engaging and intelligent product experiences. 

What you’ll do:

• Develop computer vision and deep learning solutions across the entire machine learning workflow from data collection to model training

• Work in a uniquely collaborative, cross functional team that engages with all aspects of the development lifecycle, ranging from applied research to product design and full stack implementation

• Build out the next generation of machine learning infrastructure that scales to our O(billion) images and videos

• Evaluate technical tradeoffs and build sustainable systems that scale

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Experience building machine learning or computer vision features

• Ability to proactively learn new concepts and apply them at work

• Strong communication skills and problem solving ability

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently Enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent

• Experience with Python or Go

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing complex machine learning systems through previous internships and work experience

• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch or other related deep learning frameworks

• Personal projects on GitHub and/or strong contributions to open source software

• An appetite for knowledge and a passion for Snapchat and creativity!
