Working alongside our Product Manager for Space, the Space Planning Intern will help shape the way Knotel develops its product by auditing our current portfolio of space and fortifying our internal data. S/he will work closely with our Data Analysis team and contribute to the development of systems and metrics that improve the business. Knotel’s team embraces curiosity, integrity, hospitality and tenacious problem-solving, and the Space Planning Intern will contribute to this culture while pushing us to innovate and do our best work. This role is ideal for architecture students or recent grads eager to get some applied work experience at one NYC’s largest workspace providers.

What You’ll Do

• Perform accurate measurements and feature audits of properties in Knotel’s portfolio
• Perform take-offs from existing CAD files, verifying their accuracy as necessary
• Create new base CAD drawings based on field measurements
• Organize space data and develop analyses, in collaboration with the Data Analysis team
• Research, discuss and implement space planning metrics
• Commit 20-30 hours a week.

Who You Are

Foremost, you’re a creative problem solver who is excited about leveraging your technical knowledge of physical space in service of lofty strategic goals. You excel at performing tactical analyses quickly and precisely. You are a great listener and systems-driven thinker who takes directions and executes confidently. You also have the following:

• Experience recording accurate field measurements
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with BIM and/or relational databases is beneficial but not required
