What you’ll get to do

You will be utilizing our internal microservices to build applications using technologies such as React, Angular, Docker, and Kubernetes to name a few. You will work with a small team developing these applications and tools to empower our CFPs and deliver better experiences for them. As a member of our Engineering Department, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with engineers from across the company in bi-weekly tech talks and meetups where we discuss the latest technologies, techniques, and how to apply them to real world applications.

In being a part of this team, you will be to taking part in building a next-generation platform for our CFPs. You will be joining a group of highly skilled and motivated engineers, working within an Agile workflow, and implementing best practices. The role requires having attention to detail, a passion for exploring emerging technologies, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional web development experience
  • Abreast of current trends, best practices and web standards
  • In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, including experience with Node.js
  • Adept at problem solving
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, etc.)
  • Experience with build tools (Grunt, Gulp, Webpack, etc.)
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • Experience with CSS and pre­compilers (Sass, Less)
  • Experience with automated unit and integration tests to support continuous delivery
  • Familiarity working in a Unix environment
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with engineers, designers, product managers, and nontechnical team members
  • Experience with debugging and analytics developer tools

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with members from product, design, and other engineering teams in order to develop and maintain internal web applications
  • Working with internal services
  • Mentoring junior engineers
  • Participate in collective architectural decision-making and technical research
  • Develop and maintain tests for various stages of the code’s lifecycle
