MetLife is seeking a Legal Administrative Associate for its in-house Legal Services Team, which consists of administrative associates and paralegals supporting the Legal Affairs department. The position involves working in various areas of the department to address business needs and requirements.
The role requires sound judgment, attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a complex and fast-paced environment. Candidates should be able to work independently with minimal supervision and possess effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. This position reports to the Services Team manager and involves collaboration with peers, stakeholders, and other members of the Legal Services Team within the Legal Affairs department.

- Provides administrative support to attorneys and Services Team members as necessary.
- Prioritizes meetings and manages calendar effectively based on business priorities.
- Utilizes various systems, including matter management, ebilling, expense reports, and other technology platforms as required.
- Communicates with executive assistants of senior leaders across all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
- Independently manage performance and time management responsibilities.
- Demonstrates skills in prioritization, organization, proofreading, and office administration.
- Exhibits initiative and anticipates professional needs.
- Arrange business travel, including airlines, hotels, and transportation, and submit expense reimbursement requests promptly.
- Maintains documents and records according to administrative and record retention policies.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- Associate degree or 2-3 years of administrative experience.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

- Excellent organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills required.
- Ability to execute with urgency and agility.
