We are seeking an experienced credit and consumer finance compliance leader to build a world class corporate compliance team. In this newly created role, you will be a partner to the executive team as you advise and collaborate with all of our departments to build compliance-oriented people, processes, tools, and technology into Flex’s biller and consumer financial technologies and services.

The Compliance team advises and creates compliance strategies and programs to allow the launch and growth of Flex’s unique biller and consumer products within a dynamic and complex regulatory space. You will create a team of experts in industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and Flex’s product offerings. You will ensure that we assess compliance needs, design and implement applicable policies, and build internal infrastructure to support the business. You will also help develop our organizational growth strategy alongside our executive team to evolve and scale our programs, infrastructure and platforms to protect Flex and its customers as we continue to grow. 

What You’ll Do:

• Manage and oversee the compliance functions for Flex
• Lead a team of qualified compliance professionals
• Serve as the senior compliance advocate for the building of new products and maintenance of existing lending and payments products, including conducting regulatory research as necessary, drafting disclaimers and disclosures, conducting testing, reviewing application flows and product processes
• Drive corrective action process across all our products, including collaborating across business units to resolve and document issues
• Along with Finance, serve as the primary business point of contact for regulatory examinations and inquiries, external audits, and third party diligence requests
• Partner with the Legal team on all components of product counseling
• Develop compliance risk assessments to address legal and regulatory risks for associated compliance programs
• Maintain the company’s Compliance Management System, including oversight of the following areas: policies and procedures; training; monitoring and testing; complaints; regulatory change management; vendor management; reporting; employment; and Fair Lending.

What We Look For:

• 10+ years of relevant experience at a financial technology company, bank, nonbank lender, and/or regulatory agency
• 5+ years experience leading and building teams
• Strong knowledge of lending, payment scheme rules, BSA/AML, privacy and payments laws
• Operational knowledge in building and running a company’s compliance program
