About the Role
The Legal Finance Business is experiencing immense growth. Yieldstreet has been a trailblazer in the industry having funded almost $300M of legal finance transaction volume since inception. We have played a key role in unlocking value from legal claims, settlements, judgements, and awards and fee receivables for commercial entities and law firms, and providing superior yields to investors.
Yieldstreet is hiring a Head of Legal Finance to capture this growth opportunity by developing a strategy and execution plan to originate income generating investment opportunities for our investors. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will lead the Litigation Finance asset class vertical for Yieldstreet, build a team over time, and directly impact Yieldstreet's mission and growth. You will have extensive experience originating and underwriting Legal and Litigation Finance transactions and a track record of success. You will partner closely with our internal underwriting and origination teams, external partners, and co-founder/President on credit decisions.

You recognize the need for more people to access alternative investments and want to utilize your expertise to change the way wealth is created and help millions on their path to financial independence.
What you'll do:
- Develop a business plan and scale a legal finance business
- Source & originate suitable transactions for Yieldstreet investors
- Build partnerships with top legal finance originating partners
- Develop and own the underwriting of legal finance / litigation finance transactions
- Build out a team of originators and underwriters to support the growth of the business
- Be the face of Yieldstreet’s Legal Finance business
What you'll need:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in the legal finance industry
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- A strong background in Legal Finance
- A track record of successful investments
- A robust underwriting process
- A vision for the future of legal finance
- A collaborative work ethic
- Enthusiasm for a fintech startup culture
- A passion for building a platform to put people on a path to financial freedom
