What We're Looking For:
Our company is searching for a full-time Legal Associate for our NYC office. We are actively looking for a candidate with experience in real estate, zoning, and land use. Domio currently has hundreds of properties across the country, with plans to expand and add more in other gateway cities.
At Domio You Will:
- Execute the stages of real estate and commercial transactions, including negotiation and documentation
- Analysis of zoning and land use codes related to rezonings, special permits, and variances
- Handle all real estate, corporate, zoning, and land use related legal issues
- Draft and negotiate contracts with suppliers, carriers, and customers
- Manage external counsel where appropriate
- Collaborate with fellow leaders, both within the group legal department and in the US business, to devise efficient and effective strategies for the provision of legal services to the business
Who You Are:
- 2-8 years of Real Estate, Zoning, and/or Land Use experience
- 2-8 years of Real Estate leasing experience
- Graduate of an accredited law school and admitted into the NY state bar
- Solid understanding of commercial real estate development, landlord-tenant law, and general corporate matters
- Good judgment and discretion
- Must be self-driven and motivated
- Must be a team player
- Effectively manage multiple projects and timelines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
