Job Description

Does providing legal support for a leading sports betting provider interest you? Are you able to give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics? Are you an expert at drafting and solidifying agreements, contracts and other legal documents?

If so, you are the at the right place! We are looking for someone who is in expert in the legal field and who is interested in the sports betting industry. We want innovators, we want doers!

We are looking for someone who is able to not only able to communicate and negotiate with external parties, but also deal with complex matters with management and stakeholders. You will be the first point of contact for our Management team to address any questions and issues regarding contracts, partnerships, regulatory issues, as well as employment law. You must have a positive attitude and the ability to understand the critical urgency of topics along with extremely strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Some of the day to day tasks will involve:

• Advise management on various legal and regulatory issues regarding ongoing operation and expansion of Tipico in the US, including product, technology, finance, human resources, marketing, sports betting and gaming operations. 
• Provide legal support to the compliance team which includes state licensing requirements, structuring transactions with service providers, reviewing advertising and promotional programs and materials.
• Ensures that all organization activities and operations are carried out in compliance with state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.
• Structure, draft, negotiate, advise and review contracts including service agreements, marketing, licensing, technology, partnerships, etc. 
• Review changes to law and regulations and advise management on how they may impact the business.
• Develop and refine processes, procedures and standard contract forms.
• Manage other general legal affairs for Tipico North America.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor Degree from a top tier law school
• Licensed member of the New Jersey Bar and within good standing 
• 4+ years’ experience in-house or at a leading law firm. 
• Relevant legal expertise in a similar position.
• Knowledge of contract law, corporate law, employment law, intellectual property law as well as gaming law and regulations. 
• Exceptional drafting, negotiation, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, critical thinking, and organizational skills are also a must.
• Must be flexible and eager to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment independently, responsibly and reliably with a high degree of professional ethics and integrity.

Nice to Have

• Litigation or employment law experience
• Knowledge of gaming law and regulation.
• Sports betting or online gaming experience
• Experience with startups and /or tech companies.
• Global Experience
