Legal Support Manager

In keeping with the continued growth and maturity of our business, IPONWEB is looking for
an experienced paralegal who will be responsible for partnering with the Sales organization in driving success for the business. This is a terrific opportunity for a roll-the-sleeves-up legal professional who wants to have an impact on company performance.
The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, and have a proven ability to understand legal requirements and communicate them to the organization. The ideal candidate will be able to learn quickly, identify and manage risk, interact easily with all levels of employees, meet deadlines and prioritize projects. A strong work ethic, ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and a positive attitude are absolute requirements.
The Legal Support Manager will report into the Group General Counsel for the business.
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as partner to Sales with prospective clients
Review, draft and manage commercial agreements and statements of work.
Advise on the legal issues and risks, complex agreement structures, approval processes, company policies and procedures.
Respond promptly to legal requests from Business Development, and other internal clients, summarizing and communicating legal concepts for various audiences
Review advertising, promotional, and marketing materials to provide intellectual property clearance, identify issues with applicable advertising and privacy laws, and vet compliance with company and industry standards
Researching and anticipating legal issues that could impact the company, including helping guide the company’s data security & data privacy preparedness
Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes
Identify, research, and analyze a wide range of relevant legal topics, issues, and risks
Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company globally
Experience and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required
Paralegal certification preferred
6-10 years of experience working as a legal assistant, paralegal or contracts manager in the online technology and preferably AdTech space
Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating contracts, specifically supporting sales teams
Experience in Intellectual Property and commercial transactions is highly preferred
Understanding of global and national data compliance and security laws
Ability to interpret legal documents, negotiate contracts and work with attorneys to complete agreements.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
Ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
Exceptionally thorough, with excellent judgment
Very hands-on and practical, ready to work closely with Group General Counsel and various areas of the business
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects simultaneously
May be required to travel internationally occasionally at short notice to other IPONWEB offices
