We are looking for an associate or law school graduate with a thorough understanding of municipal finance and restructuring processes, with a strong interest in writing. You’re passionate, hard-working and looking to transition to a new career covering municipal credit and legal matters for the investment and advisory communities.
Alongside global coverage of high yield and distressed corporate credit, Reorg is the market leader in coverage of Puerto Rico’s ongoing restructuring. You will join an established and growing team providing coverage of topical high yield and distressed municipal credits, related litigations and market trends for our subscribers who count on us for sophisticated, up-to-date, accurate information.

Responsibilities
- Day-to-day monitoring of municipal credit situations, providing alerts and summaries of pleadings, hearings and other matters
- Timely reporting and coverage of relevant government and court hearings
- Prepare long-form trend and analysis pieces covering developments in the high yield and distressed municipals market
- Collaborate with a team of financial analysts and journalists to assist in developing coverage
- Meet and interact with legal, financial and investing professionals both over the phone and in person
Requirements
- JD with a strong academic record
- A comprehensive understanding of municipal finance with a keen sense of the investor perspective; experience analyzing municipal credit documents, restructuring background a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- The willingness and ability to travel occasionally for court hearings and other industry events
