About the Role
Yieldstreet is hiring a Paralegal to assist its growing Legal team. We are looking for a Junior Paralegal whose focuses is on creating and maintaining documents, reviewing NDAs, records and filings for a multitude of Yieldstreet entities and funds managed by Yieldstreet’s registered investment adviser. This role will report to the Senior Paralegal.

What you'll do:
- Prepare necessary legal documents for investment funding and transactional closings
- Review and negotiate Non-Disclosure Agreements/ Confidentiality Agreements and arrange for execution of the NDAs with General Counsel and Business Teams. Assist with filing, organization, and locating Non-Disclosure Agreements in internal document retainment system.
- Provide support in connection with investment funds, including preparing documents for EDGAR filings (including Form 3s and 4s for our 40 Act fund) and tracking sales for state blue sky filings
- Provide support in connection with transactional closings, including obtaining signatures from the appropriate parties and updating files and closing sets
- Assist Legal team with research of general legal issues
- Collect information necessary to form entities (including all SPVs), apply for relevant EINs and EDGAR codes, draft and file required formation and governance documents and structure charts and maintain up-to-date records in an entity database
- Partner with Legal and Operations teams to assist with contracts management system
- Assist with entity formation, dissolution and entity foreign qualifications
- Manage closing documents, binders and deliverables for corporate deals
- Assist with (KYC) know-your-customer and other similar informational reviews and requests
- Support a variety of ad hoc projects within the team as they arise
What you’ll need:
- Undergraduate degree
- 4-8 years of corporate experience at a law firm or a corporate legal department
- Understanding of investment fund and asset level structures
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with computerized databases and on-line services
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical problem solving and research acumen
- Ability to work independently and proactively as well as part of a team
- A strong work ethic
- Knowledge of Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Meet), MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint), and Adobe
Bonus points for
- Experience with regulated 40 Act funds
- Experience with litigation
- Notary preferred or willingness to obtain
