As Paralegal, you will be the third member of the Legal Department of OwnBackup, the 25th fastest-growing company in the Americas. Based in our Englewood Cliffs, NJ headquarters, and reporting to the General Counsel, the Paralegal will play a central role in managing corporate compliance and legal operations at OwnBackup. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and have a strong compliance mindset. 

Your Day-to-Day Role

• Manage corporate filings and formalities for OwnBackup entities globally
• Manage corporate minute books
• Handle customer nondisclosure agreements
• Handle stock option agreements
• Help manage patent program 
• Help manage privacy program
• Helping manage contract templates
• Lead implementation and management of legal technologies

Your Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree
• 4 years experience as corporate paralegal in law firm and/or in-house
• Paralegal certificate a plus 
• Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Highly organized
• Careful and detail-oriented
• Strong project management skills

Important Details

This is a full time position. The ideal candidate will work out of our New Jersey office to maximize interaction with business. OwnBackup is a global team, so for the right candidate there might be an opportunity to work remotely, though HQ is preferred.
