The team provides responsive, collaborative, high-quality legal services and sound business solutions to our partners across all areas of Moda Operandi, including corporate governance, financial reporting, relationships with vendors, employment law, intellectual property, real estate transactions, GDPR, CCPA, insurance, tax, customs, and others. The team ensures we are operating in-line with Moda Operandi’s vision, mission, strategies, and objectives.
About the Job
This professional will be responsible for organizing Moda Operandi’s legal files and corporate documents, including implementation and management of a related software. This professional will also handle routine corporate administration and filings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support to the General Counsel and other members of the Legal team as needed.
- Ensure all records, documents, and department work are effectively organized.
- Manage general legal administration including all internal contract organization, filing and document management. Implement a contract life cycle management system and a due diligence data room.
- Assist with creating and marking up NDAs and vendor agreements from standard forms and assist with creating and marking up related correspondence.
- Assist with global corporate governance matters, such as compliance, insurance requirements, maintaining corporate records, regulatory filings, investor communications, drafting corporate resolutions, and managing the signature process.
- Assist with tracking stock option plan and making related filings.
- Assist with managing insurance coverage and claims.
- Identify and implement improvements to current operations and workflows
- Perform research as needed.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Education and Experience
- A. or B.S. Degree required.
- Strong prioritization, efficiency and organization skills needed to independently handle high volume of requests.
- Ability to be proactive and to work independently, but also successfully co-exist within a close-knit team.
- Sound judgment in understanding when to engage attorney supervisors when providing support and communicating with third parties.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
