OVERVIEW:

The VICE Rights & Clearances team is looking to hire a Rights & Clearances News Coordinator to oversee and further establish the management of all rights related to VICE News video content. 

DUTIES:

  • Administrative role concerned with creation, editing and digital filing of clearance paperwork within VICE’s internal database
  • Correspond with Legal and News production/post teams on video-level clearances, approvals and risk assessments
  • Assist with VICE News footage re-use and clip licensing requests
  • Ensure VICE News production teams adhere to HBO partnership parameters
  • General department tasks, including keeping trackers/reference docs updated and assisting with training sessions domestically and globally

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:

  •  Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills a must!
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Experience in related field (rights management, licensing, News) preferred
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills, a demonstrated ability to multi-task and a commitment to finding creative solutions
