As the company continues to innovate, maintaining that trust means executing in three things: spotless privacy compliance, an ethics-by-design approach to product development, and internal capacity-building to stay ahead of the curve–no matter how quickly technology, regulation or social norms evolve. That’s where our VP of Digital Trust comes in.
How you will make an impact
- Lead all workstreams to ensure Contentsquare meets the highest legal and ethical standards of digital trust. That includes maintaining and regularly updating internal policies, risk assessment procedures, infrastructure, product compliance programs, employee training and enablement...You get the gist.
- Serve as a legal and policy advisor to the company on priority and emerging digital trust challenges relevant to our mission. This will mean monitoring developments so we stay ahead of rapidly evolving technology, regulation or social norms
- Develop and execute a strategy to meaningfully engage with key experts, community leaders and policymakers on privacy-related matters affecting our product, business and impact on society at large
- Prioritize and manage onboarding for digital trust related third party certifications, voluntary pledges, assessor requests and ratings that make the most sense for Contentsquare
- Cultivate and champion both privacy and data ethics as part of Contentsquare’s company culture
Who you’ll be reporting to
Our Chief Legal Officer. As this role sits on the intersection of Legal and Impact, you will also be working hand-in-hand with our Chief Impact Officer.

- Hates. Third party cookies. Seriously, why hasn’t the world gotten rid of those yet?
- Masters. Data privacy regulation, surprise surprise. The data privacy landscape is constantly changing, in different ways, at different speeds, in different jurisdictions. You keep one eye on everything in effect today, and another on what’s coming tomorrow. While you don’t necessarily have a magic crystal ball you can whip out (Bonus points if you do, though), you geek out so much to data ethics-related challenges and trends, that you sense what’s top of mind for consumers and regulators alike.
- Speaks. Fluent business. You also have a working knowledge of basic tech and product concepts, which will come in handy when you interface with Product and R&D. After all, your work influences how our product is designed, developed and deployed.
