As a Live Video Intern for The Dodo, you’ll join the largest dedicated animal brand on digital media, and be immersed in a fast-paced environment that encourages innovation and passion-driven storytelling. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with the Live Video lead to create Facebook Live segments on location.

As our ideal candidate, you have experience in creating Facebook Live content or have used the tool in some way to create engaging video content. You have a strong sense of Facebook and the social media landscape and you’re excited to venture outside of the office for on location shoots. You love animals and you’re excited to be up close and personal with them on a daily basis! 

You’ll be joining a nimble, creative team of self-starters who enjoy collaborating and receiving feedback, so clear communication is essential. We’ll look to you to manage your time, work quickly and efficiently, and have an accurate pulse on how long your projects will take to complete. Creative thinkers and problem solvers will thrive on this team.

Responsibilities:

• Daily Facebook Live shoots on location
• Assistance with the planning and managing of shoots
• Recut live videos for instagram stories
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Approximately 12 hours a week
• A strong understanding of Facebook and how the Facebook Live tool works is a plus
• Basic Premiere Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Media or Film preferred
• Interest in creating impactful/sharable animal content
• Experience with Google Suite (doc and sheets) preferred
• Experience in filming/shooting engaging video content
• Passion and love for animals
