Company Overview

We are on a mission to ensure that the financial system is routing money to the best ideas while helping people build and protect their long-term financial health. Our platform empowers financial advisors to learn about, build personalized strategies around, and invest in (previously inaccessible) private investments to help them grow their businesses and improve the outcomes of their clients.

The market for private investments is expected to grow by $2 trillion in the next decade, but remains largely inaccessible to the majority of non-institutional investors. Our platform provides exclusive educational content, personalized guidance, bespoke investment options, and a streamlined investment process to help make these investments more accessible than ever before.

About the Role

As a leader in Opto’s investment team, you will be critical to executing Opto’s vision of empowering fiduciaries to invest confidently in private markets.  You will focus on investment research and diligence across a wide range of bespoke client mandates including overall portfolio construction and investment research/diligence both at the manager and direct investment level.   You will provide insight and guidance in further developing software and data-driven manager research for the Opto platform in partnership with its technology team.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Developing Opto’s overall private market views by monitoring overall market trends and demand in the alternative investment space, including private equity, venture capital, real estate, private credit, infrastructure and other asset classes
  • Building multi-asset private market portfolio to fulfill client mandates
  • Qualitative and quantitative manager and investment research and due diligence
  • Continuing to scale systematic processes for investment due diligence, investment performance, and ongoing risk monitoring
  • Developing market research and educational materials in partnership with our content team
