ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are looking for an ambitious Account Director to join our rapidly growing Consumer Tech PR team. The Account Director will help develop client strategy, manage staff to drive an overall work plan, lead day-to-day client relations, conceptualize pitches and media placements, and play an active role in business development. This Account Director will work primarily on blue chip technology clients. We prefer that our AD is based in our New York or Los Angeles offices, but welcome those located in San Francisco or remotely.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
As an Account Director on the Consumer Technology team, you will:
• Drive large-scale strategic planning and execution efforts with multiple client leads across dozens of product launches, product reviews, trade shows, press conferences, feature stories, executive bylines, measurement/reporting needs and more (Primarily working collaboratively in PPT and Excel)
• Drive high-touch daily client communications with the same client leads, juggling competing priorities (through regular calls and in-person meetings/presentations)
• Partner closely with agency leads to develop robust strategy plans, reports, updates, and other presentation materials for the broader client team
• Supervise the work of 2-4 junior staff (in addition to interns) at any given time, keeping a very close eye on quality control and ensuring client deliverables are smart, thoughtful, on-time and error-free
• Work closely with our MD and two VPs on overall account management and capacity planning, ensuring client objectives are being regularly met,our work is being completed effectively and the team is being run efficiently

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
• Has 5-6 years of experience in consumer technology PR, working either in house or in an agency setting with blue chip global technology companies (PR agency experience preferred)
• Can conceptualize, develop and produce client plans and client recommendations that will be shared with the client, executives, and partners (candidate must be extremely well versed in producing dynamic, highly visual powerpoint presentations - basic design skills to create flow charts, timelines, etc are required--- advanced graphic skills are a plus!)
• Internalizes client and staff input to deliver initial strategies on their own, further honing and developing client plans based on edits and guidance from senior members of the team to produce excellent final results
• Has a proven track record of leading smart, proactive, and thoughtful client communications - in person, on the phone, and over email
• At least 2-3 years of demonstrated staff management experience
• Can lead and actively participate in the development of strategic research to inform client strategies and roadmap a media approach
• Has a strong news savvy and knowledge of the media covering consumer electronics and innovation-particularly of big tech companies
• Has a strong track record handling multiple assignments at once, working quickly and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility and eagerness to travel for the job
• Currently in or interested in relocating to New York or Los Angeles, remote candidates welcome, San Francisco preferred
