ClassPass is seeking a Director to lead the long-term thinking behind our website and organic search presence. The ideal candidate is collaborative and a strong communicator able to manage complexity across a number of stakeholders and balancing brand and growth objectives. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in the latest Search Engine Optimization techniques with deep understanding of web technologies and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Plan: Develop the long-term organic search marketing strategy for ClassPass identifying the largest areas of opportunity and focus as well as the roadmap to build a world class web presence.
  • Manage: Lead and small team and partner with the external agencies needed to achieve our objectives while ensuring quality, efficiency, and accountability
  • Build: Develop and launch the initiatives needed to grow traffic to the ClassPass site and ensure ranking for best in class content
  • Optimize: Continuously improve the visibility and impact of existing and newly created pages
  • Tracking & Reporting: Ensure optimal measurement and provide visibility and accountability into web performance
  • Testing: Design and launch testing strategies across across the site
  • Technology & Innovation: Ensure the implementation of the right tools to be able to efficiently manage the site and grow traffic.

Requirements:

  • 7-10+ years experience working hands-on with website management and search engine optimization
  • Detailed understanding of link-building and traffic acquisition strategies
  • Experience effectively managing multiple agencies and vendors
  • Experience leading teams to results
  • Outstanding communication skills, including strong writing abilities and proven experience in making complex subject matter accessible to a broader audience
  • A proven track record of converting marketing plans into measurable results with specific KPI’s
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with a willingness to be both strategic and hands-on
  • Flexible cross-functional team player comfortable with a fast-paced, evolving environment
