We are seeking an experienced Brand Communications Manager, Digital to lead the development of digital brand campaigns that drive awareness, conversion, and brand love. Sitting in the Brand Marketing team and reporting to the Director, Brand Communications, the Brand Communications Manager, Digital will translate our brand strategy into digital communication plans that drive our always on storytelling approach on Away’s digital channels. This individual is a digital storyteller who will drive the creation of work that cuts through and engages, leveraging traveler insights, innovative products and digital tools to inspire consumers.

The role will be critical in leading our integrated digital marketing efforts by partnering cross functionally with Ecomm, Growth Marketing, Social Media and Digital Creative teams on maximizing impact of digital campaigns. Strong storytelling expertise, deep knowledge of digital technologies and social media spaces are essential.  

The position will be 100% remote through January, and a flexible return to work/work from pre-approved locations program is currently being developed.

What You'll Do: 

  • Develop digital communications plans for campaigns—right audience, right message, right channels.

  • Partner with the Digital Creative team at every step of the process to coordinate the execution of engaging work that delivers against our marketing priorities.

  • Create communication frameworks for integrated digital always on communications across web, paid and organic channels

  • Align with channel leads on channel approaches, tactics, deliverables, rollout, and key performance indicators, ensuring all executions deliver against campaign objectives.

  • Stay on top of marketing trends, digital innovations and news on culturally-relevant brands to help guide and shape future marketing support.

  • Be a positive and engaged member of the brand marketing team

  • Develop and share best practices for modern storytelling

  • Partner with brand management and other stakeholders to develop and sharpen briefs and contribute to collaborative idea generation with cross-functional teams

Who you are:

  • You have a minimum of 4-6 years of relevant working experience; digital communication planning, brand communications, and/or agency experience preferred.

  • You have exceptional storytelling and communication skills that bring passion, energy and inspiration to the forefront.

  • You enjoy connecting the dots and partnering cross functionally. You are very familiar with brand strategy, creative development and multi-channel execution and have executed these at scale to drive business results and brand equity.

  • You have experience leading briefings and management of creative partners (in-house or agency).

  • You are customer-obsessed—you understand our customer and how to speak to them at every point of the marketing funnel.

  • You are culturally-aware and naturally curious—you know what other brands are doing and always thinking “how can we do this better?”

  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • You are incredibly organized and able to juggle a variety of initiatives.

  • You love to travel (but that's a given).
