Who we are

The Looking Glass is the world’s first desktop holographic display for 3D creators—no VR or AR headset required. It was launched the summer of 2018 to make the dream of the hologram real—and there are now thousands of Looking Glasses shining with the light of holographic glory on the desks of 3D creators around the world.

With the Looking Glass, our aim is to change the future to one in which groups of people are gathered around pieces of 3D digital space instead of living in a world where everyone is forced into a VR/AR headset for 16 hours a day. Our community of users include 3D artists, animators, architects, designers, game developers, medical professionals, technologists and straight-up 3D nerds.

This is a full-time role based in Brooklyn, New York.

Why we need You

Looking Glass Factory is looking for a Communications Associate to ensure that we are actively communicating what we do at Looking Glass Factory with the wider community. This is a role for a communications generalist with a tact for words. You'll be our wordsmith on everything from on-site / off-site to social media to paid advertisement campaigns and emails to press releases and one-off projects. Your words will drive people into hologram-land. 

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist with planning and implementing communication strategies for all Looking Glass product launches, releases and announcements across our website, social media, press releases, and blog content. 

• Schedule, draft, authorize and manage the release of all paid advertising and promotional campaigns. 

• Develop promotional communication materials for external marketing campaigns. 

• Main liaison with our external press agencies (in the US & Japan) for major release and announcements.

• Own and maintain company social media pages and profiles (incl. the conversation between us and our community) 

• Work closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure that we drive a steady stream of relevant content on all our online & offline channels.

You need these qualifications

• You are a superb writer with 3+ years of professional writing / communications experience that demonstrates your wits, command of language and taste. 

• A quick learner who picks up new skills fast 

• Ability to think, plan and execute on multiple projects simultaneously in an organized fashion. 

• Knowledge of and interest in the hardware & VR/AR/MR tech landscape. 

• You are deeply, personally excited about what we’re making at Looking Glass Factory.
