Voted Crain's Best Place to Work 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018, BetterCloud is looking for a high-performing, creative Content Marketing Associate to help fuel our growth. This person will be responsible for creating engaging content that drives traffic, engagement, and sales leads. They will also run the daily BetterCloud Monitor newsletter, our daily newsletter that goes out to an audience of 100K+ IT professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Research and write original content, including blog posts, landing pages, and more
• Own all aspects of the daily BetterCloud Monitor newsletter, including curating content and building, testing, scheduling, and sending the newsletter to an audience of 100K IT professionals
• Manage curation of content for syndication and link building between BetterCloud and external sources
• Test and improve content performance over time, using insights from tests to optimize future content
• Collaborate cross-functionally to grow newsletter subscriber base

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in communication, English, journalism, marketing, or related field
• 1-3 years working in content marketing or similar role
• Experience with marketing automation technology, WordPress, Google Analytics
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
• An ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects
• Self-motivated, creative, energetic, curious, and empathetic — you understand keenly what your audience feels, needs, and wants
• Detail-oriented, ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• A fanatical obsession with grammar — you can spot dangling participles and comma splices from a mile away

Recommended -

• Familiarity with major tech publications — you read TechCrunch, VentureBeat, Ars Technica, etc. regularly
• Experience curating content for newsletters, campaigns, etc.
• Experience interviewing subjects (e.g., customers, industry experts) for articles
• Experience in a B2B or tech company a plus
