These experts and professionals help keep our curriculum fresh and our standards for achievement high by participating in our admissions process, as well as program-specific activities such as interview training, DemoDays, Hackathons, and Capstone projects. 

Pursuit is expanding our marketing team and hiring a Content Marketing Manager to tell the myriad stories of Pursuit across multiple channels. You’ll create compelling, informative, and inspiring written, visual, and video content, acting as the writer in residence for the organization. You’ll drive community engagement with Fellows, alumni, funders and employer partners, and seek to expand our community through marketing campaigns. 

As the Content Marketing Manager you will: 

  • Develop, manage, and execute on an organization-wide content strategy across our various stakeholders, including staff, Fellows, Board, and general public
  • Develop and drive our content calendar, communications, and social media including internal and external newsletters, blogs, and marketing materials
  • Act as our “internal reporter” by attending various events, and documenting them to share both internally and externally
  • Write, edit, and proofread cross-org content, including digital assets, social media, scripts, and other content as needed
  • Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms
  • Leverage, reuse, and repurpose existing high-performance assets to increase reach and visibility 
  • Ensure created content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice. Be a steward of best practices in messaging, grammar, writing, and style.

What you need to be considered for Content Marketing Manager role: 

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a content marketing role
  • Experience using data insights as a differentiator in external marketing materials
  • Experience with content management, analytics, and social media tools, including Squarespace and Google Analytics
  • Strong writer and editor with ability to write for various audiences

Bonus points for: 

  • Experience in a mission-driven organization and/or startup environment
  • Employer brand marketing experience
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web publishing
  • Video creation, editing experience

Where you’ll work: 

  • Virtually—for now—from your home or our community office space in Long Island City, NYC
  • Because we are One Big Team, we are having conversations on what a return to in-person work schedules would look like and are actively gathering feedback from staff and fellows to determine the best course of action
