We are looking for a creative and organized Content Marketing Specialist to develop content for the US market on a daily basis. The position is based in New York City and reports to the Marketing Director US.
You will be responsible for all content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement and leads that deliver sales value and customer retention. You need to ensure all content that you produce is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice and optimized for search and user experience for all channels. The goal will be to create content people actually want to read, share it on the channels they use, and measure the results of content marketing activities.
Main responsibilities:
- Produce high quality content (videos, articles, webinars, blog posts)
- Develop and manage the editorial calendar and ensure deadlines are met
- Be an arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style
- Deliver engaging content on a regular basis, edit proofread and improve content
- Share content through various channels, ensuring strong online and offline presence
- Continuously collect feedback to gauge content effectiveness and make recommendations based on the results
- Executive presentations on the program approaches and results will be required
- Work closely with the people in charge of SEO content, global marketing content and product marketing content in order to take the same direction and keep consistency
- Work closely with company's designers on all creative and branding initiatives to ensure consistent messaging across channels
The Content Marketing Specialist is measured on the continual improvement of customer nurturing and retention through storytelling, as well as the increase in new prospects into the enterprise through the consistent development and deployment of content to each persona group. Success criteria include:
- Positive brand recognition and consistency across chosen published channels
- An increase in defined customer engagement metrics (measured by users taking the desired action e.g., clicks, conversions, subscription, etc.)
- Website traffic growth
- A decrease in sales/buying cycles
- Clearly defining content distribution during particular stages of the buying cycle (lead nurturing)
- Identifying up-sell and cross-sell opportunities through content analysis, and deploying content assets for higher conversion rates
What we are looking for
Skills & Requirements:
The Content Marketing Specialist requires a combination of marketing and publishing, with the most important aspect being “customer first” mindset. The Content Marketing Specialist is the corporate storyteller that must be empathetic toward the customer’s pain points. Specific skills required include:
- Proven work experience as a Content Marketing Specialist
- Must have outstanding and effective English communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong video development experience
- Ability to think like an educator, intuitively understanding what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it
- Proficiency in WordPress or others CMS
- Understanding of web publishing requirements
- Project management skills and detail-oriented to manage editorial schedules and deadlines within corporate and ongoing campaigns
- Experience with creating compelling messages for different target demographics. - Crisis communications experience is a plus
- Experience in digital marketing and/or web analytics tools is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- BS in Marketing, Journalism or any relevant field. MBA in Marketing is a plus.
