MLB’s New Media and Content Marketing team is looking for a creative, baseball-obsessed fan to publish content to MLB’s Twitter account and secondary accounts. Must have experience in social media with a strong understanding of baseball and pop culture trends. Bilingual in both English and Spanish is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Publish to MLB’s official Twitter and boutique accounts (@MLBGIFs, @MLBVault)
- Identify and highlight key storylines in baseball each day through content and copy
- Work closely with the content team to create engaging content that shows off our players and our game
- Make editorial decisions in line with MLB’s marketing goals
- Track what’s happening across baseball in real-time and prioritize social coverage
- Consistently pitch new ways to cover relevant storylines and be ahead of the curve on Twitter among sports accounts and brands
Requirements
- Strong understanding of baseball and our players
- Expert of Twitter and content creation
- Ability to multi-task and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to implement marketing strategies, insights and goals in creative content
- Availability to work nights and weekends
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, etc.) is a plus
