Copywriter & Content Marketer

| Greater NYC Area

COPYWRITER & CONTENT MARKETER

THE ROLE

Own the pen as we market to providers and patients. Write the shortest, coolest, most compelling content. Drive interest through attention-grabbing Subject Lines. Inspire action through engaging CTAs. Collaborate with Design to take our content to the next level. Know our audiences. Listen deeply. Lead strategy for content development. Execute. Be creative.

The mission of this role is to use language and content to inspire action among Quartet users -- mental health providers (MHPs), primary care providers (PCPs), and patients. This individual will develop all content, including holding the pen to write content that drives the complete acquisition and engagement lifecycle of Marketing campaigns. A skilled writer (especially across email, paid social / advertising, and direct mail), this person will produce audience-specific content daily to deploy across channels.

This person will unlock Quartet’s relationship with mental health providers, primary care providers, and patients in our seven markets (and growing!) nationwide. A deeply empathetic person (high EQ!) who is endlessly eager to understand our audiences (and segments of those audiences), this leader will create content across all channels (email, direct mail, letters, collateral, paid & earned social, ads, website, landing pages, etc). A very strong copywriter, they will understand motivations, behaviors, and how to connect with people to inspire action. The content that they produce will clearly articulate the Quartet value-prop, build trust with these audiences, and be measurable as we track the performance of our marketing campaigns. This person loves a good CTA, Subject Line, and has a way with words, using few to communicate to many.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

This individual will be reporting to the Director, Marketing (Product), and work closely with the Performance Marketing Manager and Director of PR & Comms.

Key accountabilities include:

Copywriting & content creation

  • Write the shortest, coolest, most compelling content.
  • Own entire content creation lifecycle for our users, creating clear and compelling copy that enhances our value prop -- driving acquisition, engagement, and retention. Create Quartet’s content as we launch direct-to-consumer (DTC) patient marketing.
  • Ensure all copy is consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all content channels including online, social media, email, mobile, video, and print.
  • Champion creative and compelling Subject Lines, strong CTAs that have a measurable impact on marketing performance, and test design throughout.
  • Be the writing arm in the creation of email campaigns, landing pages, websites, letters, direct mail, guides, sales collateral, search ads, videos, and fully integrated launch campaigns.

Strategy

  • Create and implement a content marketing strategy targeted at users, including the development of themes/topics, content creation, curation, and distribution—with the end goals of acquiring new providers, driving engagement, and improving retention.
  • Work with Performance Marketing Manager to analyze content performance against marketing goals to help inform and optimize strategy, and determine further A/B testing.

Audience research

  • Continuously strive to understand the value each of our audiences gets from working with Quartet, and how to build trust, engage them, and drive them to action (sign-up, patient referral, retention).
  • Listen to audience sentiment, provider research and performance metrics to inform language, tone, brand, voice, personality, and content creation for our users.
  • Monitor online conversation, content channels (provider newsletters, social media communities, etc) and industry landscape for current trends and opportunities.

Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively across Marketing, Product, Field (Market Teams), Clinical, etc.
  • Collaborate closely with Product to ensure a consistent, integrated customer experience.
  • Keep a constant pulse with Field and Clinical teams to continue to inform content ideas and development.
  • Establish workflows for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content.
  • Employ systems and processes to monitor content quality, remove problematic content, and make any necessary updates to ensure high quality and relevance of all brand content.
  • Collaborate with Design to leverage brand design assets.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 5-7+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven success in copywriting to drive action among audiences.
  • Experience writing to healthcare audiences (providers, patients) a strong plus!
  • Deeply creative. Can make healthcare tech appealing and exciting to busy audiences.
  • A way with words. Short. To the point. Clear. Focused. Descriptive. Inspire action.
  • Experience learning about segments of audiences, and tailoring content to each.
  • Love for writing and storytelling. Demonstrated experience writing both long and short form. content (writing samples required - including CTAs, SLs, etc!) across print and digital channels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including expertise in grammar and proofreading.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills, openness to feedback.
  • Demonstrated success delivering multiple projects while balancing competing priorities with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment; capacity to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex and fast-moving environment.
  • Bonus points if you’ve got experience working at an early-stage startup in a similar role.
  • 1 - 2 years of ad agency experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience writing to healthcare audiences (providers, patients) a strong plus!

An Insider's view of Quartet Health

What’s the vibe like in the office?

Quartet’s office vibe creates a space that balances productivity, creativity, and collaboration. No matter if you are in scheduled meetings with team members, focusing in a phone-booth style cubicle, having an impromptu meeting with someone across the company on the couches, or grabbing a bite to eat and cold brew in the kitchen

Katie

Lead Operations Coordinator

What does your typical day look like?

I take calls from our patients, in our different markets across the country and my goal is to connect them to the right provider to ensure they get the care that they need. It feels great to make a difference at that moment, for another human being that is going through difficulty. My job makes a difference in someone's life; it feels rewarding.

Subomi

Patient Inbound Specialist

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

Quartet has given me opportunities to discover what I enjoy and excel at professionally, and what I’m eager to grow in, even if it doesn’t come naturally. Prior to Quartet, I had viewed my career linearly, but after 3 roles in Business Development, BD Ops and now Strategic Partnerships, I’m grateful for each leadership and learning experience!

Charissa

Strategic Partnerships

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

I work cross functionally with teams to help assess the current state of our markets and understand where there are areas for improvement and expansion. By analyzing data & communicating findings to teammates across the organization, we are able to refer more patients to care while increasing the speed to which they arrive at their 1st appointment

Strategy Analyst, Customer Success
