As an experienced Communications Manager, you are an enthusiastic and persuasive communicator with outstanding relationship-development skills and deep experience in PR. Your role is to execute public relations within the media and analyst community to increase the positive awareness, visibility and reputation of the ActionIQ brand.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Self-starter, you are ambitious and love the challenge of uncovering interesting narratives and news angles to get impactful media coverage for ActionIQ.
  • Collaborative, you are excited to collaborate with the Content, Product Marketing, & Marketing Teams to execute integrated campaigns and add to a resourceful and supportive team.
  • PR pro, you bring knowledge and experience from both the agency world and in-house, handling day-to-day activities in public relations and analyst relations.
  • Detail-oriented communicator, you have excellent verbal and writing skills, while holding yourself and others to the highest quality work.
  • Results-driven, you are adept at navigating process, managing up and down throughout the team and moving projects forward to hit deadlines and be a team player.
  • Media Landscape: Have an understanding of the media landscape, especially from a business technology standpoint, and how to build media lists.
  • Research: Have strong research skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own all day-to-day activities for public relations including managing an external PR agency and working closely with executives and marketing partners.
  • Support day-to-day activities for analyst relations including managing thought-leadership initiatives with key analysts within the industry.
  • Closely collaborate with the Content, Creative and Marketing Teams to produce high-quality written communications and execute meaningful projects to increase ActionIQ's brand awareness and influence.
  • Earned media support – researching reporters and influencers, building media lists, drafting media materials/pitches, pitching reporters and managing reporter/influencer relationships and media opportunities.
  • Monitor media landscape and stay aware of trends and culture tapping opportunitie

Requirements

  • Undergrad required.
  • 4+ years experience leading or managing public relations in a company or agency environment.
  • Expert knowledge in B2B technology PR strategies and tactics
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and extensive experience writing press releases, byline articles, blog posts and more.
  • Knowledge of the marketing and/or analytics technology industry is a plus.
  • Startup experience a plus.
  • NYC based
