The Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Associate is responsible for supporting Zola’s expanding CRM efforts and optimizing all customer communications. This role will focus on driving new and existing customer engagement while ensuring flawless execution.

This role requires a demonstrated record of flawless execution, good analytical rigor, and creative problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing customer communications (email ideal) and demonstrate a true passion for innovation in this area.

Responsibilities:

  • Help develop and fully execute customer communication strategies for promotional, transactional, lifecycle, acquisition, triggered and VIP-focused campaigns to drive growth
  • Assist in managing the calendar across multiple channels and audience segments, ensuring right content in front of the right person at the right time
  • Support all aspects of daily production (email, push, marketing modules, direct mail, etc.):
  • Creation, scheduling, and approval
  • Quality assurance/flawless execution to ensure that creative, copy, and links are correct
  • Continuously optimize audience selection
  • Write creative briefs for marketing emails and manage copy, creative, and HTML coding process
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop processes to streamline operations, develop functionality and ensure targeting variables are available in systems
  • Help manage service provider relationship
  • Report on channel Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), such as open rates, CTO, clicks, adds, etc. and continue to improve channel effectiveness
  • Support promotion/offer execution

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of direct experience managing email marketing campaigns
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree a plus)
  • Experience working with the following:
  • Sailthru or other mid or enterprise tier ESP
  • BI reporting tool such as Looker, Cognos, etc.
  • CRM system such as Salesforce, etc. a plus
  • Working knowledge of HTML
  • Solid understanding of key performance metrics and drive actionable insights
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and through PPT / Excel
  • Great team player who can collaborate cross-functionally as well as with outside vendors
  • Naturally intellectually curious with an overall eagerness to learn in a fast-paced startup environment
