Designer - Digital & Mobile
Overview
We are looking for a talented Digital Designer for our fast paced in-house Marketing team, reporting to our Chief Marketing Officer. In addition to having a sharp eye for design, the right candidate should either be, or think like, a "digital native." Your genuine passion for the profession you have chosen is extremely important for this role, and for us. Your enthusiasm, attention to detail, and follow-through are what defines your work. Responsibilities
Lead Generation (50%)
- Create digital assets for the web, social, email, advertising, and events; including longer-form PDF content for lead generation
- Choose on-brand images from online stock photography websites, such as shutterstock.com, and keep organized in image library
- Use marketing best practices, including the need for a strong call-to-action, and minimal distraction
- Design with a mobile-first mentality, especially when designing emails and landing pages
Branding (25%)
- Own, evolve, and enforce Synthesio's brand guidelines, including logos, colors, fonts, icons, imagery, presentation templates, email signatures, and business cards
- Ensure that designs align with our three core values- global, simple, and fun; and ensure alignment with our software products
- Experiment with new, fresh visuals, without compromising on usability or design best practices
- Take into consideration Ipsos branding to ensure Synthesio branding is complimentary
Sales Enablement (25%)
- Improve presentation decks, and work with Google Slides master and layout templates
- Be the go-to digital design resource for presentations and sales collateral
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Design or a related field
- 2+ years of work experience
- Expert with the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Intermediate understanding of how to design for HTML5, CSS3 and responsive frameworks
- Familiarity designing for standard ad unit sizes
- Strong comfort-level with G Suite, especially Google Slides, Docs and Drive; or similar
- Strong comfort level keeping and organizing files and source files in the cloud, rather than locally on your desktop
- Effective and consistent at using a project/task management system
- Ability to juggle multiple projects at once, hit deadlines, and see designs through from start-to-finish
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills and gets excited about overcoming obstacles
- Strong attention to detail, by performing quality assurance on work before delivery
- Light-weight video creation & editing a plus
- Experience working with remote teams and across departments is a plus
