The Digital Marketing Associate role
In order for Petal to fulfill its mission to offer simple, honest, accessible, and affordable credit to the millions of people who are new-to-credit, we rely on our Marketing team to target potential customers and get the word out. As a member of our small, yet mighty, Marketing team, this role offers a tremendous amount of exposure to all aspects of Marketing.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, self-motivated and curious, and an organized, structured project manager excited to work cross functionally with our product and risk teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Build out and manage multiple digital acquisition marketing channels, including (but not limited to) SEM, Facebook, Display, Pinterest, Snapchat, and online video.
- Analyze and innovate upon existing landing page, creative, and targeting strategies.
- Monitor the performance of Petal’s digital channel mix and make recommendations on where to shift spend to maximize scale and efficiency.
- Contribute to the management of an 8-figure marketing budget.
- Drive rapid A/B testing and analysis to uncover data-driven growth insights that inform acquisition strategy.
- Manage the feedback loop with Petal’s Analytics and Risk team to inform customer / risk segmentation and manage portfolio credit quality.
Characteristics of a successful candidate:
- 2+ years of campaign management experience
- Strong analytical skills and experience using analytics tools including, but not limited, to Google Analytics and Looker.
- Self-motivation and focus on high quality delivery
- Proven success in handling ambiguity in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment
- Strong connection to Petal’s mission and values
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a directly related field required
Nice-to-haves:
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience at an early-stage startup or lending business
