About you:

You’re a passionate digital marketer with deep experience in marketing automation, email marketing, social media, and search. Your top priority upon starting will be to audit our current marketing automation programs and then move to overseeing, implementing, analyzing and optimizing said automated marketing programs. This includes email and other digital initiatives as well as managing and improving Stack Overflow’s marketing database. You’re able to set a strategic vision just as well as you can execute, and you’re excited about building something (and fixing what isn’t working). Above all, you’re about getting results.

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct an audit of our current marketing automation and digital programs (and all associated vendors and technologies) in order to fix what isn’t working and optimize wherever possible.
  • Develop personalized, scalable, automated marketing campaigns using Iterable, Hubspot, and other platforms leveraging email, landing pages, social media, etc.
  • Implement best-in-class lead scoring and lead distribution process in partnership with Sales and RevOps teams.
  • Partner with the Product, Content, and Sales teams to create compelling nurture paths for different personas; constantly iterate and test to drive improvement.
  • Work with Salesforce, Data, and Digital teams to identify methods of leveraging customer data, develop campaigns/journeys that are seamlessly integrated with the product experiences.
  • Manage Email Marketing Manager, and with him or her, email marketing processes (including QA and compliance); manage Digital Marketing Manager responsible for social, search and other projects.
  • Work closely with VP and RevOps team to establish KPIs and configure standard reports to measure tactic and campaign success as well as business results.

What you need to have:

  • 5-10 years of digital marketing experience, with experience at a b2b company preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to collaborate; effectively working across multiple levels, roles, and functions in the organization.
  • A track record of showing results and directly generating revenue for a business via digital marketing efforts.
  • Management experience, both managing direct reports and vendor relationships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Empathy for, and understanding of, developers (how they think, work, learn, communicate, and find jobs).
  • Proficient with developer marketing tactics and techniques.
  • Familiarity with content marketing and product marketing best practices.
