Digital Marketing Lead
The Digital Marketing Lead will hold three key areas of responsibility: owning Newsela’s digital experience strategy and optimization; driving paid media strategy and execution; and establishing digital marketing best practices across the company. With the majority of your efforts focused on the first, you will serve as point person for developing and executing on a digital strategy to ensure awareness, consideration, thought leadership, and demand generation objectives are met. You will spearhead the re-launch of our global website, managing internal and external stakeholders, conducting competitive site analysis, and ultimately optimizing performance of the site post-launch. You will also run point on working cross-functionally and with external agencies to ensure brand consistency across all digital properties.

Why We’ll Love You
You have a successful track record of launching dynamic, world-class websites targeting multiple audiences (preferably B2B), and may even have launched websites with eCommerce functionality. Your experience working with content management systems and tracking tools has enabled you to build a data-driven process for optimizing website performance (you’re a whiz with SEO and demand gen metrics, and can deftly align them to overall business goals). You are an expert in planning and executing digital media campaigns across SEM, paid social, display advertising, retargeting campaigns, etc. You are also able to seamlessly translate business requirements into technical execution, and know which levers to pull to get the job done. You do all of this, while actively seeking input from other teams to ensure collaboration and alignment at every step in the process.
