What will you do?
Sealed is looking for an experienced, creative, and growth-obsessed performance marketer to own and accelerate lead generation and customer acquisition. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to build a direct-to-consumer marketing engine from scratch at a company that is creating tangible positive impact and value for people and the planet.
As Director of Acquisition Marketing, you will own, build and scale a lead generation engine that is the drivies Sealed to fulfill its mission to retrofit millions of homes. Joining our team of talented creatives from leading tech companies (Facebook/Instagram, Google), you report to the Senior Director of Marketing as her primary thought partner on acquisition strategy.
More specifically, you will:
Own vision, strategy and results for all existing and new prospecting and lead generation programs including channel mix, offers, and timelines
Build and manage a diverse and modern mix of paid online and offline advertising, organic and partnership channels to drive prospect and MQL volume that converts to sales
Define audience personas and segments, map their journeys, and identify opportunities and strategies to engage at moments that matter
Work closely with our talented design and copywriting team (former Facebook/Instagram, Google) to produce outstanding editorial content and lead magnets
Coordinate with the Sealed business development team to create and execute on annual co-marketing plans with major utilities like Con Edison and Avangrid Inc.
Refine Sealed’s target audience segmentation and target persona definitions
Experiment with conversion optimization tactics using rigorous frameworks to produce data-driven and actionable learnings on performance drivers
Evolve top-of-funnel marketing KPIs; set up the reporting and operational infrastructure to support a high-performing funnel and inform strategic decisions
Discuss and formalize plans for building a team around you as we grow
What success looks like?
Sealed is growing 100% YoY, and prospect/lead generation from our direct-to-consumer acquisition programs has become a primary driver
Homeowners in our target geography know who we are, house lists and social media following are growing, and converting to deals
We are constantly learning from your laser-precision performance reporting, and iterating to increase conversion and drive down costs
Requirements
7+ years of work experience
4+ years experience in manager- or director-level positions responsible for performance / acquisition / growth marketing and direct response advertising programs, preferably to a consumer or SMB audience
Demonstrated impact on revenue and growth trajectory of a Series A stage business
Experience building new acquisition programs in-house across a diverse channel mix, (ideally with a particular specialty in email and digital mediums)
Experience creating and managing to KPIs and performance marketing budgets, with a track record of meeting prospect, qualified lead, and revenue targets
Demonstrated track record creating innovative audience engagement strategies and interactive experiences
Comprehensive working knowledge of marketing attribution methodologies, and a point of view on which ones to use when evaluating performance in varying contexts
Expert knowledge and use of marketing automation and reporting tools across marketing channels (e.g. HubSpot, Drift/Intercom, Google Analytics, Salesforce, MS Excel)
Nice to have
Experience marketing large-ticket purchases or services to homeowners ($1,000+)
Experience with hyper-local geographic targeting strategies
