About you:

As Director of Advisor Marketing, you will lead our marketing efforts to develop the network of financial advisors who rely on SmartAsset for new business. You will be responsible for creating and managing marketing campaigns and content, helping drive inbound sales leads, strengthening existing advisor and partner relationships and growing brand awareness.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop messaging for advisors across paid, owned and earned channels
  • Run outbound marketing campaigns (email, direct mail, professional and social media, etc) to raise awareness and drive inbound inquiries
  • Test various messages and channels to drive efficiency and scale
  • Coordinate with sales team to design and support multi-channel campaigns that target specific segments of advisors
  • Create and manage drip campaigns of advisors who have shown interest in the past
  • Work with sales management to identify and execute on opportunities for in-person engagement with advisors (conferences, etc)
  • Work with account management team to design and manage ongoing outreach strategy for active and previously active advisors
  • Assist the editorial team in developing targeted content to own search results for high-intent keywords
  • Work with direct and enterprise sales teams to develop collateral to support sales efforts and partnership development, including white papers, sales decks, case studies and webinars
  • Work with SmartAsset’s PR team to develop high-impact media relations materials and raise brand awareness
  • Work with product and UX teams to manage website and improve new user flow

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience designing and managing SMB marketing campaigns including content creation, segmentation, outreach, and tracking/reporting; budget responsibility
  • Familiarity with both traditional (direct mail) and digital marketing channels (search, social, etc)
  • Strong written communication skills; able to write marketing copy as well as manage the campaign
  • Analytical mind; able to track and measure campaign success using platforms such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc
  • An understanding of Salesforce or a similar CRM, as well as B2B marketing automation a plus
  • Comfortable in the fast-paced, high growth environment of a startup
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and excellent time-management skills
  • Experience marketing to financial advisors or wealth managers a strong plus
