About the Role
We’re looking for a seasoned communications pro to join the MoneyLion team. Reporting to MoneyLion’s Chief Operating Officer, this person will lead day-to-day efforts related to company communications, shaping our communications strategy and providing strategic counsel to our leadership team on a range of topics. You’ll work closely with the CEO and the rest of the C-suite team as well as colleagues from Marketing, Investor Relations, Finance, Legal/Compliance, and the lines of business to help tell the MoneyLion story.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic, thoughtful, and savvy corporate communication professional with a background in helping to drive company growth with an appetite and agility to break the norms. You must be willing to do the dirty work, possess exceptional relationship-building skills, demonstrate operational and management strength, and enjoy working in a highly iterative and collaborative environment. You will take a coordinated communications approach -- leveraging all relevant channels for maximum impact, and believe that measurement and research are fundamental to corporate communications. Strong narrative building, writing, and editing skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement our corporate communication strategy across all media
- Position the company as a leader, sought for its innovation, influence, and reach
- Frame compelling narratives to raise the profile of the company, its offerings, employees, and executives
- Design an executive visibility program to establish our executives as thought leaders, guiding their narratives and securing high profile and influential opportunities
- Work closely with the Investor Relations team to oversee the creation of financial communications, participating in the quarterly earnings reporting cycle and other investor marketing initiatives
- Build and maintain positive relationships with reporters/editors, other business influencers, and event organizers to further MoneyLion’s communications goals
- Develop a range of communication materials including scripts, talking points, press releases, media statements, social media copy, and other collateral, leveraging all available channels to communicate the MoneyLion story
- Develop a proactive communications strategy for the company’s employer brand including executive communications, speaking opportunities, industry awards, employee experience, culture, and inclusion & diversity initiatives
- Act as a senior leader and communications resource in crisis and issues management
- Manage key PR agency relationships, partners, and vendors supporting our communication efforts
About You
- 15+ years relevant work experience in corporate communications with significant in-house experience, preferably at scaled technology or fintech companies
- Prior experience in financial services and public company environments preferred
- Established media relationships with key financial, technology, and business journalists
- Strategic mindset: You bring creative solutions to every problem and never see a challenge as insurmountable.Demonstrated track record of successfully working in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
- Impact player: you must be a strong self-starter who is eager to grow and make your mark in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization.
- A “doer”: no job is too big or small; we’re looking for a willingness to jump in as needed on anything.
- Experience leading an outside PR agency relationship
- Outstanding and concise written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to synthesize complex concepts into simple messaging tailored to different audiences
- Ability to communicate effectively with C-level Executives
- Strong understanding of corporate communications in the age of social media.
