Our mobile applications cover chronic/pre-chronic disease (diabetes, hypertension, and obesity to name a few), reaching more than 45 million users worldwide, and transforming millions of lives. Getting people to start paying attention to their health and finding our solution is challenging, yet extremely important for our mission. To do so, we need to produce unique, well-written, well-produced ad creative across many channels and media ... And this is where you come in!

Our Director of Brand and Creative will dramatically improve the overall quality of our ad creative, while identifying opportunities that elevate brand consistency and reinforce long-term brand strategy. You will be in charge of the creative process from start to finish -- working with the team to develop strategy, writing the ad copy (or video script), then overseeing the ad production. You will have full access to performance data to see how your creative does in the real-world, and then go back and iterate to make it even better. You will run many quick test ads, as well as work on pricier ad creatives that involve original photography and video.

You will learn the latest techniques in Growth Marketing (some call this Growth Hacking), and add your creative flair to them. You will have a huge impact on the entire brand, and every creative we put out in the market. Our growth marketing team is an incredibly talented and diverse group, so expect full support from our analysts, engineers, growth directors, and designers, as well as from the executive team. You will be entering on the ground floor of a 5-person marketing team, as the lead creative, and reporting to the President of the company.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Create a vision of Noom’s story, developing creative strategies with touch points and narratives spanning online, radio, TV or whatever other channels we target
  • Work closely with analysts, designers, and marketing leads a create relevant, new digital, social and mobile content and strategies
  • Roll up sleeves in a flat organization to write compelling copy that will resonate with our consumers and get their attention, across all campaigns
  • You will inspire the creative team to produce compelling graphical and video executions of your ideas
  • Do everything else that it takes to get an incredible creative produced. It's a startup, so you'll wear many hats!


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 4+ years of experience in consumer-focused agency or in-house advertising; experience at a startup or working with startups a big plus!
  • A record of delivering effective copy & final creative that yield increased user acquisition and retention
  • Experience and understanding of the intersection of copywriting and design in both print and digital worlds, as well as a strong command of the written word
  • A great visual storyteller with strong aesthetic taste; someone who can communicate ideas and concepts well and can articulate their value with ease and diplomacy; you will work with a graphic designer/art director to make these ideas come to life
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; with experience developing and measuring campaign and funnel metrics
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Comfort presenting in front of senior leadership, with an ability to influence others
