We’re a high energy, high growth SaaS company seeking a Director of Demand Generation in New York with a deep understanding of the B2B marketing funnel, at least 5 years’ experience driving optimization and results, and reporting KPIs. They’re able to own performance of the marketing funnel, from acquisition and nurture to customer success. 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing, including digital, demand generation, and content marketing
  • 3+ years managing and mentoring team members
  • 3+ years of experience with marketing automation (preferably Marketo)
  • Proven project management experience, including hands-on use of Asana, Monday, or Wrike
  • Strong understanding of the marketing funnel, including lead scoring, lead flow and conversion from lead to MQL, SAL, SQL, and opportunity
  • A proven growth-hacker—with the creative and technical chops to stand up programs and align with marketing ops to track success
  • A true creative concepter, able to use every tool in the kit to concept, execute, and lead amazing campaigns
  • Strong creative copywriting skills, and a willingness to jump in to write landing page copy, email copy, and ad copy
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to aggregate data from multiple sources, including Salesforce, Google Analytics, Tableau, and organic social platforms, to make educated decisions on funnel optimization and spend across all marketing channels
  • Mastery of our target persona and ability to oversee the creation of campaigns that reach the right person with the right message at the right time
  • Demonstrated record of success in building and driving growth on a fast-moving team with multiple concurrent projects
  • Proven track record of managing and executing a large number of multi-channel campaigns, involving multiple stakeholders and agencies, and defined KPIs
  • Appetite for finding new ways to improve our channels productivity, efficiency, and business process improvement; a growth hacker to the bone
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills. Someone who is focused on delivery and proud moments with their peers

Responsibilities 

  • Manage digital, demand generation, and customer growth marketing team members
  • Own the MQL-to-pipe conversion number by playing a key role on the Growth team, working cross-functionally with events and corporate marketing, and by removing Marketing/Sales friction, driving alignment, and overseeing cadences, nurture campaigns, and direct mail campaigns
  • Own agency relationships, such as our Google strategy agency and any new agencies we enlist as they relate to acquisition, demand, and retention strategies
  • Create marketing plans for acquisition, conversion, and retention, including budget, channels, KPIs, and reporting
  • Provide weekly reports of campaigns in motion and metrics
  • Either build project plans in Monday or Asana or work with Campaigns Manager to ensure proper project build out and tracking
  • Collaborate across marketing, sales, and customer success to drive alignment and hit goals
  • Performance: Audit, monitor and improve top of the funnel acquisition all the way to customer engagement and retention

Technical Content Marketing Manager

Curate, send, and manage our daily newsletter, the Monitor, which goes out to 50,000 IT professionals every morning. Develop new ways to improve newsletter performance (e.g., A/B testing), engage readers, grow the subscriber base, and use it to tactfully drive interest in BetterCloud. Engage prospects/customers to build content (examples: interview them for blog posts, have them curate the newsletter for a day) and champion them as thought leaders. Research, write, and edit content used in campaigns, including blog posts, longform gated content (e.g., technical whitepapers, guides, checklists, eBooks, etc.), and other thought leadership pieces. You’ll write on diverse topics for all stages of the funnel (examples: SaaSOps best practices, BetterCloud product tips, ABM-style content tailored to specific accounts). Help innovate with new types of content (e.g., podcasts, videos) to use in campaigns, community, and increase engagement. Be an active member of our community, BetterIT, to identify trends, insights, and topics to use for content.
