Collibra is seeking a Director of Marketing Strategy to partner directly with the CMO and marketing leadership team as well as partnering closely with leadership across the organization. This role will focus on converting fast and iterative insights into strategic programs supported by strong financial modeling. You will leverage data and insights to craft a holistic picture of marketing performance, deliver critical strategic initiatives, ensure alignment between marketing strategy and Collibra’s corporate objectives, and promote cross-functional optimization across both the marketing
The Director of Marketing Strategy at Collibra is responsible for:- Directly partnering with the CMO to establish a multi-year strategy and regularly communicate progress with Collibra leadership
- Partnering with the CMO and other marketing leaders to identify, set, manage and execute on the Marketing vision and deliver the marketing plans to support for future growth and efficiency
- Driving development and continuous iteration of processes, systems and infrastructure (based on SiriusDecisions) with clear roles/responsibilities/ownership and regular evaluation across all marketing functions; partner with the People team to finalize job families and job profiles for all positions
- Managing and balancing the global marketing budget in partnership with FP&A; work with all teams to track & report performance as well as operational goals such as ensure PO submission, budget roll-ups and alignment
- Ensuring all Marketing team OKRs are high-quality, aligned to overall strategic initiatives/other departments and progress is reported weekly through Betterworks and at the Marketing LT meeting
- Owning marketing team enablement for both new hires and existing staff including training on SiriusDecisions methodologies
- Crafting and leading cross-functional forums to drive cross-departmental initiatives, campaigns, and programs (including partnering with Sales, Customer Success, and Product)
- 7+ years of corporate strategy, management consulting, or investment banking experience
- 2+ years of experience in Marketing operations, planning, execution and reporting process including project management and prioritization
- Strong understanding of Marketing landscape, measurement and attribution approaches, including optimally a strong understanding of the SiriusDecisions framework
- Knowledge of SAAS industry issues, trends and business models essential
- Demonstrated technical and finance experience in driving rigor in planning and analysis
- Exceptional instincts/experiences leveraging marketing strategies to drive business outcomes and financial results (Some companies might call this a required Masters or “MBA”; we need someone who understands business and we don’t care where you learned it!)
- Thoughtful and strategic with an ability to craft plans multiple steps ahead
- Extremely well versed into executive presentations with an ability to design strategic frameworks on various templates (slides, etc..)
- An effective storyteller with an ability to craft and/or direct the writing team on executive level content materials (scripts, slides, blogs, etc..)
- A detailed project manager capable of driving cross-functional projects to completion
- Capable of managing executive stakeholder relationships across multiple functions and presenting to senior leaders and stakeholders including C-level
- Flexible and able to work in ambiguous situations, push back, ask questions & comfortable in environments of change
- Analytical, with a passion for using data to build strategies and measure their effectiveness
- Comfortable ideating, creating and improving programs in a rapidly changing and occasionally ambiguous environment
- Committed to an “ownership mindset” with a high degree of accountability
- Within your first month, you will learn our products, organization and corporate strategy
- Within your third month, you will have co-created the Marketing engine/system of work and rolled it out clear roles and responsibilities to all teams; additionally, you will have complete ownership of the budget and OKR system
- Within your sixth month, you will fully own all of the responsibilities listed above with a strong proficiency; you will also have drafted a multi-year strategy deck with the CMO
