Director – Pricing and Promotions
Overview
The Director of Pricing and Promotions B2B will be responsible for pricing and promotions for
Discovery+ partnerships. The B2B lead will manage discount recommendations, financial modeling for
all Discovery+ partnerships. In addition, this person will manage segmentation of all discovery plus
customers, pricing data and analysis in support of identifying pricing cohorts and product segments and offerings.
Responsibilities
- Guide partnership teams on partner entry and partner exit plans as it pertains to overlap of
acquisitions and retention of users as part of retiring partnerships - Segmentation of product offerings for all Discovery+; Recommendation and pricing bundles
- Segmentation of all cohorts related to pricing opportunities
- Review acquisition and KPI performance of partner cohorts and make recommendations to internal
partner leads - Develop and maintain promotional calendars for global tracking
- Analyze user engagement for all partner users and develop recommendations for subscriber growth and future contract negotiations
- Apply proficiency in financial and quantitative analysis to see beyond the data in identifying and
quantifying high-impact opportunities to grow and maintain Discovery's DTC user base
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a numerical or marketing discipline or equivalent years of experience
- Strong analytical, communication and time management skills
- Experience with revolving membership programs/credit card or loyalty program promotions preferred
- Ability to understand and interpret trends and react with strategic/tactical changes
- Good technical skills and knowledge of spreadsheet analysis; Google Sheets/Excel
- Strong communicator with ability to adjust / adapt to situations to maximize results
- Ability to work face-to-face and electronically (e.g. telephone, e-mail, IM, social media)
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Ability to lead and work with a diverse team
Some travel may be required.
