Flatiron Research was started in 2014 with the goal of serving cancer patients by accelerating research. We believe that existing clinical research paradigms are ill-equipped to answer the questions that face drug developers, academic researchers, and regulators in the oncology space. By focusing on technology solutions that can be deployed widely across Flatiron’s network of providers, we have an opportunity to generate insights that were previously impossible.

Our technology-first approach has allowed us to build Real-World Evidence (RWE) data sets with higher quality, accuracy, recency, and scale than any other cancer data that is available. We have active partnerships with top-tier academic medical centers, 13 of the top 14 oncology biopharma companies, the FDA, and most recently the NCI, all focused on using data to accelerate the research and treatment of cancer.

The Director of Product Marketing for Real World Evidence will lead the Product Marketing strategy and execution for the highest grossing and fastest growing business line within the company. A critically important position, this individual will partner closely with the Life Science Partnerships, Product and Research Oncology teams to ensure we have a winning go to market strategy for Flatiron RWE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a thought leader in oncology Real World Evidence (RWE), Flatiron’s RWE products and those of our competitors
  • Develop compelling product positioning and messaging that differentiates Flatiron RWE from competitor offerings
  • Work closely with the Life Sciences Partnerships team to enable Flatiron RWE sales and strategic partnerships
  • Own the development of a multi-channel marketing strategy that includes the development and implementation of sales collateral, case studies, webinars, whitepapers, presentations at industry conferences, etc.
  • Align closely with Product and Life Sciences Partnerships to influence product roadmap prioritization by identifying customer and market needs
  • Develop and execute go-to-market launch strategies and value propositions for new RWE products, including cross-functional marketing plans
  • Partner across Flatiron to explore the feasibility of new ideas or researching how to enhance existing RWE offerings
  • Represent Marketing as the RWE lead during the Flatiron annual strategic planning process

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree, advanced degrees preferred (MBA or PhD in relevant area of study)
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • Gifted storyteller and communicator, comfortable in high-level client meetings
  • Ability to turn complex technology concepts into clear communications
  • Exceptional leadership skills and experience interacting with executive stakeholders
  • Significant experience with pharma, biotech, healthcare or health tech required

Bonus Points:

  • Prior experience in oncology
  • Previous experience in product marketing or product management
  • Experience in B2B sales, either for a tech / data product or for a strategy consulting company
