About the role.
We are looking for a pioneer Director of Product Marketing to build out this function at Lively. This role will work with their team in a hands-on capacity to determine the most appealing features of our offering and create educational, as well as, engaging product marketing messaging for those features. They will partner with channel owners to promote them to prospective and current customers, while encouraging channel owners to tailor messages to their channel.
Lively’s product offering consists of physical products (hearing aids), digital products (site/app), services provided by real people (Sales, CX, Aud). The Director of Product Marketing must be an expert on our products and services to properly market them and to inform customers of their value and benefits. In partnership with the Chief Product Officer, to which the role reports, the Director of Product Marketing will also identify opportunities to enhance our offering, through features, pricing or pricing models that will make our offering more competitive and differentiated.
What you’ll do.
- Build, lead and mentor a tight team
- Build a portfolio of competitive analysis of features, price, positioning of our offering against our closest competitors
- Work closely with the Chief Product Officer on building a competitive strategy around market intelligence analysis and findings and establish pricing models
- Provide ideas or solutions for comparing our products to each other and to the competition
- Partner with Sales to figure out how they are positioning our offering to new and switcher personas
- Partner with the Chief Product Officer to propose additional product offerings or services
- Cross-collaborate with Audiology and Customer Experience teams to identify what people value most in their interactions with us
- Lead team in crafting and prioritizing key messages about our offering to differing personas
- Support the Engagement Product Manager on launching and positioning Lively’s mobile app
- Partner with Research to evaluate and prioritize key value propositions
What you’ll bring.
- 7+ years of experience in product marketing
- Critical thinking: you question everything until you understand it inside and out
- Experience building and managing a product team
- A strong sense of empathy for users and the ability to uncover their psychological barriers
- Excellent collaboration skills: you work well with others towards shared goals, guide teams to manage conflicting points of view, and create an atmosphere of empathy and cooperation
- Ability to analyze data, surveys, and industry trends to form a cohesive quantitative picture of the market
- Experience modulating and formatting messaging across mediums for internal and external communications
- Desire to move quickly from information gathering to going to market with a finished product
- Comfort working with a diverse group of internal teams
