The Role
adMarketplace is seeking a Director of Sales Marketing to lead our external sales development and marketing initiatives. This individual will play a critical role in developing and communicating our value proposition to top search advertisers and their digital agencies. We are looking for a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of digital advertisers in the search / pay per click / performance advertising market.
This person will lead our efforts to obtain the attention and interest of decision makers at prospective large search advertising brands as well as develop marketing strategies to grow our existing partners. This will consist mainly of client-facing information discovery, messaging, product/solutions positioning, and connect plans.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and lead the Sales Marketing strategy, rolling out sales messaging, materials, case studies, blog posts, and internal training materials in alignment with sales objectives.
- Be the go-to marketing resource for the advertiser sales team, supporting all new and existing business pitches and networking opportunities.
- Partner with the Sales team to approach each advertiser strategically, always positioning our narrative in the context of the clients’ business goals and objectives.
- Demonstrate creative, open-minded thinking and approach to developing 360 marketing opportunities to attract advertiser interest.
- Lead and execute on the creation of sales materials, including but not limited to slide decks, one sheets, event collateral, eblasts, and thought-leadership content.
- Be the trusted resource of industry knowledge and trends, staying abreast of industry research and data points of all sources in order to leverage this information in general and client-specific sales materials.
- Develop and maintain strong active relationships with key client stakeholders at both senior and mid-management levels.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in online advertising (adtech), digital media or technology space working with sales teams and Fortune 300 clients
- Excellent strategic marketing skills with an ability to create and adapt impactful sales pitches account by account
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to garner and grow relationships with internal and external executives
- Demonstrated track record of success and established relationships
- Knowledge of the online media business and underlying technology and research
- Strong analytical skills
- Effective time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
