The Role
LeafLink is looking for an event planner to help organize, execute and scale our company B2B events.
Responsibilities:
- Venue: Research venues as well as site surveys, negotiating, contracting and front of house plans
- Timelines: Generate meeting schedules; deadlines; client updates and approvals
- Legal: Contract negotiations, process legal approvals/input/insurance requests and
permits as needed - Food & Beverage: Work closely with caterer and venue staff on menu planning
Activities: Research and enhance event experience(s) with on site activities; oversee
event set-up - Production: Research, negotiate and finalize production vendors for events
- Transportation: Create a transportation plan as needed
- Printed Materials: Oversee production of onsite materials; directional signage,
disclaimers etc - Vendors: Work with Brand Partnerships team to secure vendor sponsors for events,
research new vendors & experiential activations, assess potential vendor/partner
recommendations - Attendance: Ensure high attendance of target audience for events
- Budgeting: Stay within given budget for each event
- Post-Event: Assist with post-event tasks such as sending post-event emails, creating /
administering surveys, and compiling survey results
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of event operation and execution experience
- Strong budgeting and financial skills
- Ability to ascertain the company vision and execute and manage sound event plans
accordingly - Must be thorough, have high attention to detail, and be comfortable with working
independently and as part of a team - Strong organizational, time management, and communication (oral and written) skills
- Creative and out of the box thinker, and able to work on projects independently
- Able to multitask and manage several projects concurrently
- Strong/proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and
PowerPoint), especially in excel - Cannabis industry expertise a plus
